   If you are looking to purchase a wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses or wedding favours, shopaholiques can help you create your dream day, without spending a small fortune!

   As many of you already know, Vera Wang has launched her new bridal line at David's Bridal. It's spectacular, and with prices from the $600- $1400 mark, its relatively affordable. Dresses must be ordered in the store, and can take up to 15 weeks to deliver, although there will be some stock on hand. She has recently added Bridesmaids Dresses to complement her Bridal line.

Please look at their measurement guide for sizing, and remember to go with the larger size as its ALWAYS better to take it in, than to try to let it out !!

    I have spoken to their manager at my local store and she assures me that the sizes (charted at the bottom of this page) run properly, and that the dresses work for both taller and petite frames. 

Bridesmaids dresses are more generous in their sizing and I will happily suggest the most appropriate size if you include your measurements (bust/waist/hip).  As I have to go to the store to place your orders in person, there is a flat fee of $100 to order one of these dresses.

THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT THEY ARE TAX FREE IN NEW JERSEY

   So you will pay $ the cost of the dress + $100 + the shipping to you + 3.9% of the total for the paypal fee. Hopefully once I have weighed a couple of dresses I can give you a hint of the shipping costs...probably $60 or so Express service with tracking.

   Also new is the anthropologie wedding site  www.bhldn.com ...gorgeous wedding gowns and beautiful formal looks for every occasion. These items are available for my regular purchase fees. 

   There is a trend in white/pale evening gowns at the moment, and I often notice a gown, such as this one at Neiman Marcus, that would make a spectacular wedding dress ! (note the FABULOUS $840 price tag). Take your time to browse through all of the department store evening gowns, and don't forget the shoes ! Besides Neiman Marcus, there is Saks, Nordstroms and Bergdorf Goodman. Lord and Taylor also has a dress department, although it may be better for bridesmaids and Mother of the Bride!
